Inspiring Nature Days in Playa del Carmen
Join an inspiring, sacred nature experience! During two days only — April 18 and 20 — we invite you to meet incredible nature sanctuaries in Playa del Carmen, and support their guardians with your visit.

Meet good people, spend quality time in nature, join special experiences — from sunrise beach yoga to swimming in the underground river in an ancient, sacred cave. Recharge your energy with Nature!
Morning experience: Breakfast in the Mangroves
Host organisation: Pulmon Verde

Pulmon Verde is the last city coastal mangrove forest in Playa del Carmen. It was supposed to be a yet-another-hotel, but with the help of eco-activists, this piece of beautiful nature was preserved, and now is a jewel of Playa del Carmen.

We invite you to meet this incredible place, and join a morning nature experience, which includes sunrise yoga, organic breakfast with Pulmon Verde guardians, forest bath, and a guided tour around the mangroves. The money from this tour directly supports the guardians of the place.

When I first heard about this place, I was like “wooow”. A decade ago, this was a bulldozed construction site, but people and nature brought it back to life, together. This is a place that gives me huge inspiration.
Afternoon experience: Jaguar Cave
Host organisation: Rancho del Mar

Rancho del Mar is a small eco-tourism place in the jungle, close to the newly created nature reserve, aimed to protect the remaining wild forests of Quintana Roo. It’s not a secret that the railway construction came with a heavy cost on nature. Up to 20 million trees were cut down to build the train line, instead of following existing road.

That’s why people who care about nature work twice as hard to protect the remaining forests, the habitat of jaguars and other incredible animals. One of such projects is the nature reserve that is being created right now. You will see it in the news later, but now you have a chance to go and visit one of the incredible caves on it’s territory, the Jaguar cave.

We will drive to the forest, and spend a couple of hours in the cave, swimming in its underground river. It’s a great place for meditation, connection with nature, learning about Maya cosmovision, and meeting good people.

A wonderful adventure into the magical and ancient Mayan underworld. The cave is magnificent, you can explore, walking and swimming, opening into different chambers to enjoy the history of formation of stalactites and stalagmites that took 65 million years. To be there is truly a gift, to stop the time, and behold the beauty of the Womb of the Earth.
